Borderlands 2 preview

When Borderlands 1 first came out, I was the first of my friends to buy it. A few days later, my shining endorsement of it compelled my friends to buy it as well. Borderlands was a very entertaining game, especially for those who like to occasionally take a step back from the hardcore role playing, strategy games, etc. and just kill stuff. Lots of stuff. Then take all the loot that they can find. Borderlands was surprisingly very good at this, despite a shoddy story.

Now, Gearbox has decided that Borderlands 2 would be a much better idea than another failed reboot of an outdated game (*cough* Duke Nukem). A trailer was recently released, revealing the new characters and classes. The game once again takes place on Pandora, presumably some time after the events of the first game. It appears to have maintained the elements that made the first game great, and perhaps even improved upon some. Apparently, as if "870 gazillion" guns wasn't enough the last time around, Borderlands 2 will feature even more guns. But hey, I'm not complaining. 4 player co-op will be included, as well.

Here is the trailer for those of you who haven't seen it
