Possible Skyrim DLC: "Dawnguard"

Last week, Zenimax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, trademarked the name "Dawnguard."  This could hint at a possible upcoming DLC for Skyrim. The name Dawnguard could refer to the Mythic Dawn, which were one of the main enemy factions in Skyrim's predecessor, Oblivion. The supposed remainder of the Mythic Dawn was present during a quest in Skyrim, but this DLC could potentially extend their story.

Could the Mythic Dawn play a part in a future Skyrim DLC?

Or it may not.

Dawnguard may have nothing to do with the Mythic Dawn. It may not even have anything to do with Skyrim. But it's a sure possibility.

Guild Wars 2 preview

Guild Wars was the first MMORPG I had ever come into contact with. The large game world, different monsters & professions, and the decent storyline caught my attention right from the get-go.

Now Guild Wars 2, years in the making, is due to be released in 2012. ArenaNet has slowly but surely released information about the game, including the new professions. These include the mesmerengineerthiefguardiannecromancerrangerwarrior, and, last but not least, the elementalist

A new feature of Guild Wars 2 is the selection of playable races. As you may recall, you could only play as a human in Guild Wars 1. Now, you can choose between the Sylvari, NornCharrAsura, or the traditional Human

Combat is said to be more World of Warcraft-esque, with tons of new skills and weapon options. PvP seems to be fairly similar to Guild Wars 1, though that isn't particularly a bad thing.

The Collector's Edition of the game looks very intriguing, indeed.
The Collector's Edition of the game was also unveiled. It will cost $149.99 and will include several extras, both physical and in-game. The base edition of the game will cost $59.99 and, like its predecessor, will require no subscription fee.

ArenaNet has released a limited beta for Guild Wars 2. Since I wasn't able to participate in the beta, I can't say for sure what the game is like, but it sounds pretty sweet right now.

Skyrim: The Siege of Markarth

I'm going to take a step back from Mass Effect 3 for a second. The creator of "The Great Battle of Skyrim" has released a new video, this one called "The Siege of Markarth." Like the last video, this battle is pretty epic. Check it out!

Rumored Mass Effect 3 DLC "The Truth"

I am still a bit shell shocked over the ending of Mass Effect 3. But according to this article, Bioware may be working on a new ending. If this rumor is true, it will be released in April, will include a new multiplayer map, presumably new single player missions... and it will be free.

As a dedicated Mass Effect fan, I was devastated and confused by the current ending of the game... but some hints suggest that nothing is what it seems.

Interesting explanation of Mass Effect 3's ending

I came across a video yesterday that seeks to explain the truth behind the ending of Mass Effect 3.
Without much explanation out of fear of posting spoilers, let's just say it seems to make sense.

This video contains spoilers. You have been warned.

Mass Effect 3 Launch Trailer

Mass Effect 3 is due to be released in 4 days in North America. Bioware recently released the launch trailer for the game, and if the trailer is even slightly accurate, this game is shaping up to be the best in 2012.
