Game review: Halo 4

I initially began playing Halo simply because it wasn't Call of Duty. I played Reach, ODST, and Halo 1. The thing that stood out to me the most in all three was the enthralling campaign. 343 Industries continues this tradition with Halo 4.

Halo 4 Release, my YouTube channel

Thought I forgot? I was unable to make it to the midnight release, and as such, I still haven't picked Halo 4 up, but you can expect a lot of Halo 4 content coming out here very soon.

Also, as you may have noticed, I haven't had much on my YouTube channel lately (that's I'm waiting for December, so I can buy a new sound card for my PC. My current one doesn't record sound. When I get that and FRAPS, I'll get to work on some Skyrim, Total War, and DayZ content. Not sure if I'm going to get a capture card for my Xbox any time soon, but it's on the table for future plans.

Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC

A new DLC has been announced for Skyrim. We're going back to Morrowind.

For me, this is like coming home for the first time in 10 years. Morrowind was my baby, my favorite game of all time. And now, to return in Skyrim...

Ahem. Well, from what I gathered in the trailer (which, mind you, wasn't much, considering I was so excited I couldn't focus) the DLC at the very least takes place in Solsthiem, the "snowy hell" from the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind. However, I saw some telltale signs that the DLC will also be in Morrowind, such as the Telvanni mushrooms and some Morrowind creatures. Whether it will be back in Vvardenfell or mainland Morrowind, I don't know, but I'm leaning toward the second option.

The story has something to do with "The First Dragonborn", who is a dragon priest, if the trailer was any indication of it.

Oh yeah, did I mention that you get to ride dragons?

This DLC will be available on Xbox on December 4 for 1600 Microsoft Points (that's $20). PS3 and PC release has not been announced.

And yes, I will be getting this on day one. I will drop Halo 4 for a while to play this. Speaking of which...

Game Review: Assassin's Creed 3

Assassin's Creed is certainly a unique series. I remember renting Assassin's Creed 1 from Blockbuster when it first came out. The sheer scope of the game amazed me. And now, with Assassin's Creed 3, that feeling has returned.
